Dresses and Dolls....Can't get better than that!!!

These are the hand crocheted dresses than mom has been working on. They are for a 0-3month size baby, and would make a beautiful Christening Gown.

The next step for completion is a slip to fit under the dresses! Beautiful Mom. They'll soon be listed on Etsy!!!!

Dolls, Dolls and more Dolls. Here is my first attempt at an Izannah Walker Doll! Looking a little like Emma Smith from the 1840's. I'm not sure whether or not to keep the side ringlets... so I'm asking for everyone's opinion... Should the ringlets stay or go? Majority rules on this one!

Thanks for your input!! Ruth

the ringlets stay and longer hair in the back.  Not low enough onto the back of the neck!
Now you know, of course, this is only my opinion.
(you have seen the silly dolls I make!) peg
I LOVE Jack and Jill with the red hair. Talk about cute. They are just perfect. Started a shrug for a new outfit and am still looking for a brooch for the shawl. What do you think about a short stick pin??? Linda

My First Izannah Walker Doll

Cloth and Clay Dolls are amazing. Here is my first attempt, Peggy has inspired me to give it a try... and I think I have a grandma started here. I love working with paper clay and think I could really like doing this... but let's see how the finished product ends up before the decision is made. Wish me luck! Ruth

This doll is heavy on the cranium!
but I am telling you.... I am absolutely loving the face.  I think this could look like Great Grandma
Lucy beore you get done with her!
very cool!  Keep going.....peggly

Painting, painting

Painting!
Many many layers on this doll
As she progresses I am thinking her name is gonna change.
Looks like she has a very fat face

I think she is going to be beautiful with high cheekbones. Linda

I love the eyelids and lips. You are inspiring me!!! Ruth

Ok guys, here is the green sweater I made to go with this outfit, but I don't like it with the velour dress and skirt after I got it made. It is too heavy or something with this light colored velour.

This was originally supposed to be the back of the sweater, but I thought, why not turn it around?....but I didn't like that any better either.

This was supposed to be the front, but I think the yarn is too dark.

I'm thinking maybe something light and lacy in off-white or the same color red as the shoes??? What do you think?

She has a braid

and
eyelids!

I had to do it.
Eyelids are a must have on this doll!
