Tall Tom and a few pin cushions

We woke up to blizzard conditions this morning, so that meant a project day. Now the sun is shining on 5 " of new snow and the sky is blue and it is so BRIGHT OUTSIDE! So, had to make a few pincushions and dress Tall Tom!!! Here he is dreaming of sunny summer days!
now I know you can not use all these pinkeeps---- what's going on...... me thinks gifts are involved!  LOL  (pretty sneaky Ruth).........

Funny boy!

OH MY HECK!  Who says you can't make dolls?!  He is just as cute as can be!
Will you make me one just like him!  And his fishing pole and fish are just to die for!
The redchecked shirt and denim pants are perfect.... what a hoot - the patch on his knee is just the right touch!
And his straw hat is great!  I think prolly I would rough up the hat a little.  you know make it look like he has takin it fishing lots o times.  maybe even hang some tackle on it.  But he is very cute.  I am so jealous! He turned out awesome Ruth!

She's ready

I think she could use a brooch and I am making her a handbag.
Other than that she is done. Oh yah, and snaps on the back of her dress.

Here they are together.

Aren't they just the best fun!
What a HOOT! They are so fun!!! Ruth

she needs her sweater

To Go Outside

Next step in the new gramdoll

OK, undies and slip are almost to be done!

I am NOT the Doll Maker

I either need another lesson in dollmaking or give it up altogether and let Peggy the Master Creator make the Dolls. This is what happens when you cut the fabric the wrong way on the grain..... you get a 20" doll instead of a 16" doll. Jolly Green Giant! Ha!!!! Sewing clothes is looking better and better! Ruth

Well, I think he is as cute as can be  I love his long arms and legs!  I can't wait to see what he looks like with his clothes on!
Don't give up..... I will write all the instructions down and then I'll come over and we will have another class!
Love you sis.
Our girl Mary Ann says "He's the older brother!"   LOL

Linda's cute pinafore!

I shortened the pinafore just a bit to see the bottom of the dress and added trim. Cute outfit Linda!!!

Finished clothes

Here's a few finished clothes.

AAAACCCCCCKKKKKKKK

I know she's got no clothes,,, I know she's got no eyes
(so she can't see she's naked!)  LOL

But I just couldn't stand it.... I had to share what Frump looks like during her creation!
I am loving this doll!  I am thinking Jill Maas is so my hero!
She is the creator of this doll pattern and I want to be like her when I grow up!

I haven't made any sox for her and I can't finish the detail on her eyes
until after all the purple is gone.  So a couple more days before she will
be done. Then I will have the good camera back and
I can take some better shots of her.
she reminds my of Grandma Nyberg!  LOL
She was really fun to needle sculpt.

this one was taken before I put the color on her cheeks

I rubbed part of the color off after I saw this picture.  I thought there was just tooo much.
I am not sure if I am goin to make shoes for her yet.
Just thought you would like to see what she looks like now.
I am not doing anymore to her face - except put the spray fixative on it.
I am going to list her for sale. $75.00 with free shipping to the U.S.

Redheads

Well, the doll I brought home would be Cassy, so this new redhead would be Candy. How appropriate. Love you guys, Linda

her sister "what's her name"!

do look radicaly different!
I was surprised to see such a difference.
