Here are the shirt, cargo pants and shoes for RJ doll. I think they match the sweater nicely, and hopefully the hat with ears you made Peggy. Ruth

Oh so cute.   I love the clothes.  Very well done!   I love the sweater, love the pants and the shirt!
You do know he is going to fly on Etsy, right?  Alyce

Linda Spinning the Yak

Yak!
No. not Yuk,
Yak!!

Wow. Linda! I'd like to see that up close, wonder when I'll next get to Washington. Amazing. Did you teach yourself how to spin? Wow. I'm really glad you posted these photos. Very nice. (Alyce)

I was wondering when you were gonna get around to the Yak...... I it looks like it is spinning up pretty well. Are the thick and thin spots giving you fits?
Looks like it must be cold at your house too. (got lots o sweaters on) LOL
I finished the Elleia doll this evening and she is off to the designer tomorrow. Peggy

YEA! I wish I was there to watch, I think of when I tried spinning and I just kept peddling forward then backward..... AAAGH! Nice to see the master at work. You are a great example Linda! Ruth

I wouldn't exactly say I'm a master but I am getting better. The fiber is VERY soft and pulls apart really easily. Definitely not a beginning project. I spun for about 2 hours last night and only got about 1/3 of one bat done. I have 7 bats. It's going to take awhile. In answer to your question, Alyce, I watched a video and then spent a couple hours with a lady who knows how to spin and the rest is all practice. I am hoping someday to be able to make yarn that is perfectly straight and not bumpy and knobby. I'll keep you posted. Linda

I recommend making a video of the process and posting it on this blog and the website.   With the proper wording it would be a huge draw on Google search.   Alyce

My first thank you card

This was received yesterday in the mail..... my first thank you card from three Little girls who received dolls for christmas.   I was oh so surprised and pleased.  I love the hearts and flowers and the drawings the girls took time to put on the card.   I was in fact so touched...... I cried tears of joy...... to know that the fabric souls I have created are bringing as much happiness to the children as the creating does to me is overwhelming and heart touching.
Thank you to Sarah, Sadie and Katie for the beautiful card.   I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Way to go MOMMA...... I want one!
Ruth I did something with the Monkey.... wil you repost him..... I don" know where he went. Sorry.

Peggy I received the fabric sample for Afro-American dolls. Thanks. Here are the finished clothes for the Latoya doll. Would you like me to send them to you or just hold them until the end of Feb.? Also the Magnetic sheet came today so I will get the signs made. Ruth

Ruth, I think the only thing you should ship between now and our conference date is the signage. We have to save some money.

Kids and Their Toys

You knew she was gonna try to ride it........... The horse turned out very well. I am gonna make more!

I love that wool horse! He's very cute with the doll! VERY CUTE! Hope you're having a nice Sunday! I sure am. Love, Alyce

BTW - I love your light box for photos! Suggestion Turn the box so it is opposite of the window.

Stand with the window at your back facing the light box when you take the photo, being careful not to create a shadow from your body, see if that helps the lighting. I think it will. Very nice! Love, Alyce

We love it when you leave comments.   If you stop by..... Please leave us a comment and let us know what you think!  (just click on the pencil)

Peggy, the people who visit this blog who aren't administrators won't see the pencil.   If you want to see what the blog looks like to visitor, sign out of the blog at the very top of the page by clicking "sign out".   Then blogger will direct you to return to colorful waldorf.   When you do you will be visiting the site as a guest (if you notice at the top it will say "sign in").

When a guest wants to leave a comment all they have to do is click on the word "comment" at the bottom of each post.

If you want to turn this blog into a blog that people would want to leave comments on then the posts will have to be written in such a way that invites people to leave comments.   Right now we are posting and directing our conversations toward each other exclusively.

If you want to see the stats on viewers I can show you how.   Right now I'm not seeing very many people except us visit this site.   It looks like we are getting some viewers from facebook (which I presume are mostly us)  we are also getting visits from spam sites.

If you do a google search for colorful waldorf it doesn't show up on the google pages.   You have to type the full blog url directly into google to find it.   If you want hits you have to post differently.
