Eric is ready

Eric is here.  He is solid muscle and has a happy personality.   He is Joe's brother and is the younger of the two.   I am listing him on Etsy tonight.  I don't know what the write up will be yet, but i will try my best to come up with something good.

last day together

Still have to sew down his hair. I changed his name.  Eric fits better
Last day together for the boys!

What do you think?   The clothes fit really well.  the skirt waist could be about an inch or so smaller.  It is alitter loose on her.  but she looks very fine in this outfit.

this outfit is a better fit as far as the waist goes.  the neck elastic is too long.   But I think she looks oh so europeanly cute.   I will take in the waist on the skirt and then list this doll on Etsy.  I believe she is gonna have to go at the $125 price.   I purchased a pair of tights for her at Michaels for 1.99.

Ballerina Clothes

Ballerina Clothes for Bella if they work for you. Bodice is Satin Brocade, Tulle Skirt with tucks and Pink Ribbon bows. Brocade panties or flannel, (I made both for you to decide what to use.) Pink Satin ballet slippers. I am open to any suggestions for changes. Will look cute on the newest doll pattern as she is now dressed on the Sadie doll. I changed the pattern from the friendship patterns for the bodice and flannel underwear as well as the brocade underwear. Similar but has been changed. I don't know how different from those patterns we can go and be legal, thats a question I have. Ok! Talk to you this afternoon! Ruth
very nice pattern.   I think this will do very nicely!   I have one question..... who is the Bella doll?
I know we spoke of her...... but I can't remember which one she is.   Is she the Lorinda twin?
You are doing remarkable work Ruth,,,,, thank you so much.

Small but delightful

I am pleased to introduce Susan. She has been on the creation table in my home for over a week.

Susan is created from all natural fibers and fabrics.

She is sculpted with wool and has moveable arms. Her body is filled with wool.

Her hair is the softest wool which has been needle felted into a wig and then needle felted onto her head.

Her eyes are embroidered with a grandmothers hands and her mouth is stitched with the most tender care.

Her coat is green felt and snaps on and off. Her shoes are of the same fabric and made to match.

Her dress and blouse are cotton and have snaps and hooks and eye closures.
She is a single one of a kind. I created the pattern for her head, body, hair clothes and shoes.

She stands a full 7" tall.

I have created Susan with such tender loving care that if you are to treat her in the same fashion, she will remain in your family for many generations to come.

(This doll is not created for small or young children to play with)
Susan will be available for sale for a short period of time and there will not be another like her made.

I wanted you to see, I have listed Susan on Etsy this morning.  I could not sleep so I got up and finished her.   She will be listed for one week only and I have listed her at the price of $375.00.
so now we will see what we see.  ( I will be very sad if in fact she is sold.)  LOL like I have to worry about that!

Hope you don't mind having yourself on the www.

Well, I'm finally done building my website.   And you three with your dollies, are my featured article.   Hope you don't mind!

Linda, I'm glad you're home safely.  I loved seeing the photos of you and Jonathan enjoying sunny Hawaii!
I hope Tim and Amy are doing really well!

Ruth,  Your granddaughters are going to love their dolls christmas morning!   What fun.

Peggy,  I love your new little 7 inch doll.  She is amazing.  She is my favorite so far.   I can't imagine how hard it was to work with such small pieces.   I love her clothes too.   She is really cute.  I think you should make more.   I want to hear what it was like to make her.

I don't know if I'm feeling better or not.   The doctor wants me to start on prednisone today, I am suppose to pick up the prescription and start it today.   I want to get your thoughts on that Linda and Mom.
Basically I can't quite coughing.   But yesterday I went to ikea and within about 10 minutes my chest was feeling so much better, and I wasn't coughing.   The body aches and tight chest were gone.   Then when I went back outside my chest tightened up by the time I got to the car.  Now I am beginning to think I can't handle the pollution inversions- just like Mom.    What to do now?
Do you guys think I should take prednisone, and what can I expect if I do?

Ken and I leave for a southern caribbean cruise Saturday morning and will return the following sunday night.   no computer, no television, just ken, wow, what am I going to do?  LOL

Love you all,
enough for now.
Alyce                              check out yourselves here:  http://colorfuljoyfulday.com/

Ruthie!!!   THAT's THE BEST idea I've heard all day!   Actually, the more I think about it.  Everything I would need is there!   LOL,  you still have me laughing!  :)

Hi Alyce... I don't think you should go on Prednizone... I think you should just hang out at IKEA!!! Love Ruth

I'm back.

The dresses are so cute and Peggy's new 7" doll is precious. I don't think I want to try and make sweaters for it though. What creative sisters I have. Hopefully I will be back in gear tomorrow.

Alyce are you OK? Do you still have bronchitis? Hawaii is perfect for that this time of year.

thought you would like to see one persons professional information.
some of it is pretty interesting ...... I think

I'll never do it again

remember Susan?  first she started out like this

then she looked like this.  (this also happened to be day 3 of working on her)

This is now.  Day 4.  But the trim on her jacket is still not done
and her shoes have no trim on them either.
I figured out how to make sox. So she needs sox.
AND
she has no undies on.  so...... it looks like prolly 6 or 7 days till she will be done.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I MAKE A DOLL SO SMALL!
I could never sell her for enough money to make all the pain and suffering worth it.
LOL

She is darling!!!! Ruth

Snow!

brrrrr. how many inches is that?
Maybe somebody needs to build a snowman sitting at that table!  LOL
Oh the weather outside is frightful!!! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! I think I'm gonna go make soup and bread! Ruth

Two more outfits!

Here is the McKenna Doll with the pink fluffy jacket, ( and I have furry stuff all over myself thanks to that jacket) and the Meg doll. One more to dress and a few finishing touches on all the dolls and I'm done! Sorry the pictures aren't the best, It's snowing again and I'm a home buddy. Hope you're soon home Linda, we've missed you... and Alyce come to Idaho.... we'll get you better...you may have to move here...:>. Love Ruth
